Little Red House Quilt

The one-room schoolhouse was a favorite pictorial block in 19th-century American quilts, and for good reason. For rural families, the schoolhouse was the center of social life, where children learned and neighbors gathered. In this quilt, it sits at the heart of everything.

A symbol of home, hearth, and family, this pictorial quilt is entirely pieced with all-over quilting. Traditional red ties create a tactile field that encourages babies to move about, exploring the world through touch. Perfect for naps or tummy time.
