Baby Steps Quilt

A baby quilt made to be loved, washed, dragged around, and passed down. Our baby quilts are inspired by centuries of traditional American quilt designs. Few American quilt blocks are as versatile and enduring as the Log Cabin. Popularized in the mid-19th century, the design is closely associated with Abraham Lincoln and his pioneer roots. Across hundreds of variations, one quilt detail never changes: the tiny red square at the center, a symbol of hearth and home.

Our Log Cabin "Baby Steps" is a variation of the “Courthouse Step” design, with strips building out in even rows from that little red square.
